Distance Learning Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner Program — This course awards a master of science in nursing (MSN) degree. Registered nurses with a bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) are eligible to apply.
MSN Completion Program — This course was designed for NPs who graduated from accredited certificate women’s health nurse practitioner (WHNP) programs and have a BSN. Drexel University has bridge programs for WHNPs who do not have BSNs.
Advanced Practice Clinician Colposcopy Training Program
April 14-18, 2008, or September 22-26, 2008
This weeklong, postgraduate course is designed for nurse practitioners, certified nurse-midwives, physician assistants, and physicians with at least two years’ experience in women's health care. They receive training to perform screening and surveillance colposcopic examinations and will be able to guide the client toward prompt, state-of-the-art art medical care. In order to provide individualized and quality faculty-student interaction, each class is limited to 35 participants. The program has been approved by the Oncology Subcommittee of the National Medical Committee of Planned Parenthood Federation of America as well as the Education Committee of the American Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology.
Employees of Planned Parenthood affiliates are eligible for a 35 percent discount in tuition.
